Website Review and Suggestions

Hello everyone. I have a new website that has just been optimized and I would appreciate your feedback. I own boernemd.com. There is a link to it in my signature. I need to know how it looks, does the logo match the color scheme?
If any members are familiar with directories, I need to know if my adsense layout is in optimal placement.

The logo is very good, but just a suggestion: Don't you think it would look better if there were no space between BOERNE and MD?

By the way, today nobody uses 800x600 resolution. I'd readjust CSS to be at least of 1024 width. You are wasting too much screen space this way.

More: don't put AdSense until you've reached 700 uniques a day, It's not worth it.

For the rest, the site is pretty cool, congrats.

No seriously, it's cool. Another thing, I'll add some elements of contrast, to make the site more inviting to read (but always combine colors properly)

Fran, I'm glad I caught you on a good day!

My people have played around with the colors. We live in a small town, most of the people here that are looking for something on the internet like simplicity. We will go over the color scheme again to see what we can come up with. Thanks again!!

Steph, I like the general look of all of your sites. The only thing that I can see is a lot of the content is on the lower part of the page. You need to get something at eye-level to catch the viewer's attention.

Being a programmer-type and not much on the design end of things, I would say that functionality-wise, some breadcrumbs would really help with both the navigation and usability of your site. It would really help to know exactly where you are with regards to the entire site and not just what topic you are under.

As for the menu, using images is generally a bad idea, text is better; and since you are merely using drop shadows on text anyway I would recommend changing the menus to just text with background images for the arrows.
