The first bit of content looks too much like a blatant ad. In fact my original post was about poor ad placement. I apologize for that, but it kind of makes my point.
I wouldn't set up the content with such a dominant link to another site. In fact, the entire purpose of the first paragraph of your content is to get people to leave your page! People see that "ad-like" link and they have 3 choices. First choice is to click on the link (which takes the viewer completely off of your site)... That's a bounce. The second choice is to ignore the entire first paragraph and continue reading. Maybe half of the people will do that, the other half will chose option 3 and will leave the site completely. That's another bounce. The way I see it, the page has a 66% chance of being closed before the first paragraph of content is even read.
I think you need to either get rid of that content (it will be ignored anyway by the small percentage of viewers that actually stay), redesign it, or make the rest of the site attractive enough to overcome a 66% bounce rate probability.
Take a look and see if you agree, axel. Don't just take my word.
