I am french speaking, and I would like to know how is my website. I have translated the french part, and I would like to know if the english is ok on my website.

dropped the ly from Firstly and Secondly - First and second are the correct use

change donator to donor I think its in there 2x

change fortune to just money- if they had a fortune to entertain readers, they dont need to win a prize

You are fed up with web link exchange, targeted advertising, trying to position your web-site in search engines etc... Sound better as a question like the others- Are you fed up with web link exchange, targeted advertising, trying to position your web-site in search engines etc?

I like the colors- they work well together. I just dont understand the actual concept

i'm not so sure it's right, i was just wondering - but anyway it's redundant because it's a numbered list: no need to put 1) first ... just put the number

Thats what drew me to it in the first place but then I was like Firstly? That sounds odd. But yeah regardless - its redundant.

I did the changes you suggested...

The concept is pretty simple (but since I have to explain, maybe it's not very clear !)

Webmaster donate money. The highest donator gets 80% of all the money received during that month!

Let's say you give $1.00. You're in first place.

Then someone else gives $2.00, he gets the first place... If you would want to go back in first place, you would have to give $2.00 (total of $3.00)

At the end of the month, the winner takes 80% of the total amount. It's like an auction to get the total amount at the end while getting some advertising at the same time.

I don't know if my explaination is good enough... But if many people participate, we could get very big amount at the end !

Good job. I can't imagine having to create a website in a second language. That said, a few things I noticed:

"The largest donator of the year will be displayed on this banner during the forthcoming year along the with the link to his internet-site."

Change "his" (masculine) to the unisex version: "their" so it will apply to both sexes. "Internet-site" should be changed to "website."

Web-site? It should just be Website, unless when you mean Web page or Web pages.

Anyway, you should consider making it more concise. For example, drop the "Encourage our web-site developers..." since you have already talked about the "encouragement". I think you need to totally rephrase Option 1

"Giving a donation, your web-site will enter the Table of Honour! The amount of the donation does not matter! At the end of the month, if you become the largest donator of the month, you will be announced in the section "LAST MONTH WINNER", and you will win 80% of all donations received during that month!" should be...

"Your website will be entered into the Table of Honour upon receipt of a donation from you, regardless of the total amount. All the donation entries will be tallied up at the end of the month, and the top donator will be awarded 80% of the total. The "Last month's winner" section will be updated each month to announce the winner, his/her donation, and the prize."

Hi,

Thank you to everyone for their comments, even the ones who says that it's a scam!

I don't know why some people say it's might be a scam. I had an idea that I think could be good for webmasters. Something that could give them traffic and money.

Yes, I keep 20% of the amount, but you all know that it's not a lot with paypal fees, and advertising.

I just hope my idea will work... It's just an idea I had after seeing a french guy in France doing something similar to this, but do not give back any money. So I thought that if I gave back 80% of all donations, this could be exciting and fun.

I made some english changes with all your suggestions. Thank you very much for your help!
