Like everyone before me I also don't like the font. I would recommend making the actual body white and just have the background dark. Get rid of the image in the upper-right and make a donate link part of the menu everyone is suggesting. It's a huge distraction. Here's some more things I found.
- Your logo is cut off in IE
- Look at your validation http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...idator%2F1.606
- I wouldn't give free lessons. People will only take the free ones and then quit, maybe just give one lesson free.
- It's not convincing. I'm trying to learn PHP, since I want to become a developer as well as a designer, and I can say that it isn't convincing for these reasons.
1 First off, I don't want to go through the hassle of registering to learn.
2 I don't see anything that really says you know what you are talking about. I see the testimonials, but after some time of being in the job market a lot of people make them up, even though I think yours are real.
3 To show off my skills I would add a short blog that gave short PHP lessons, just to show your visitors that you are up to date and know your stuff
I hope this helped. Good luck with it, I want to learn PHP but wouldn't use you only because I have to register and I don't see any of your skills.
I will give you credit for the testimonial thing though, it is pretty cool
