We've settled on a layout, but my client can't decided on a background color.
It's only a layout so not everything is working, but I only need an opinion on the background.

Like to hear especially from women since they are the clients buying decision makers.

Here's the links:

2. Dark http://geekspecialties.com/test/fade03.php

Well, I am not a woman, but I figured one input won't kill you . I would go with light, just because the dark color of blue is so contrasting. It isn't even used in the layout and just completely clashes (in my opinion) with the color scheme of the site. The light color just seems to work better for me.

Cheers

Definitely the lighter color. The blue draws way too much attention.

Makes it pop? That is not the point of a footer You want the users eyes to pop straight to the content so they can easily find what they are looking for. And that is the whole point of the user coming to your page right? There is something on the page they are looking for. The light color blends in better (IMO) and as you say..the dark color "pops"

Cheers

To me- yes it does. But its not really the footer if its 3/4 of the overall background. It doesnt pop my attention but pop in just looks nice. I had no problem focusing on the middle. BUT, regardless, that's WHAT I THINK. I didn't realize my opinion was up for critique too.

Thanks for the input, some more would be great too.

I personally like the lighter color also. But I can see too that the darker color makes the main content area stand out.

So lets here some more opinions please!

Thanks,
Len
