Website Review and Suggestions

I finally finished my template, it took me a good 3 hours to complete. Then I had my buddy help with the coding. So its a basic blog like layout, except I dont want to run blog software like every other website is out there. I hate that trend.

not your spelling though

bit dark

use italics only for emphasis not whole long paragraphs

laid out with tables when it should be divs (and table height has never been part of the html spec)

I hate the trend of EVERY website being on blog software and using a downloaded template (and not an original). I like the IDEA, how it shows previews of stories, and you can just open and read the story.

Seriously like 75% of the websites ive been seeing in the past 3 months are all blogs. Most trying to hide the fact that they ARE blogs. I like a little challenge, I dont like the ease of being able to log into a thing, and just type a story, click post. Plus, it gets really annoying. Enough of the blogs already. Make a REAL website. If your site runs a blog, be sure to throw "blog" into your url.

and I only designed it, not coded so Ill get back with my coder and tell him to fix up some stuff.

If there's software out there that suits people's needs and makes it easier for them to do it, why not use it? Unless your needs aren't met by wordpress or you want to learn to code, i see no reason not to use it if you want to run a blog. But either way there's no need to bash other people for using it. That's like the amish guy on his buggy bashing all the cars.

Blogs dont offer enough customization. Design wise, content wise, and just straight up cool stuff I can put into my sit. Not meaning to bash, im just pointing out that it seems like EVERY **** website is a blog these days. I like original websites.

And my plan isnt to have a blog, the front page just looks like that, I want other pages to look different, as in not blog style.

looks alright, but i would recommend making the "desigsn" which is darkblue, along with a lot of the content is dark, it makes it difficult to navigate. make some links bright so you can catch the viewers attention
