The general layout is unique and elegant. I like it quite a bit, especially how you did your vertical navigation on the top left. However, I'd make the text on the navigation menu darker. I can barely see it. But the way that the menu expands out horizontally with a fade-in effect is really nice.
I would also break up the text in the main content area into smaller, manageable chunks. As soon as I saw how long it was, I didn't want to read it. In fact, I didn't want anything to do with it.
I'm kind of on the fence about the headless boxer in the business suit. If it were me, I'd still experiment with some other ideas for that part of the page.
