I hate to be the one to break it to you, but all you have there is a slightly skinned PHPPROBID script. Same as hundreds of other "cheapest" "best" auction sites with about 6 listings and offering free voucher codes.

You stand absolutely no chance of ever making a cent from your site. I hate to be the one to tell you (and I know you won't believe it) but its true, believe me I know.

I'm also sorry to say that I have to agree with thefandango. You should try to do a completely custom template for your website. You have to try to stand out from the rest to survive on the net.

Hope that helps

the design I guess needs more improvement you need to improve your graphical skills or you needed to design your own. come back later if you really had designed the site well.

why would i not be able to stand a chance? I thought nothing was impossible? And seems like alot of sites using this are doing good.

and to emofree: I came here to get suggestions, not to hear an *** say my design is bad.

PHPPROBID SCRIPT ? ? ?

Where ever you see votes for this script, they are probably made by the owner of the script. This is the worse script ever. I bought the script and I just can’t believe how many bugs it has. All of the options that are forbidden to check at their admin demo, or at the client demo, just do not work as they should. And if you just look their manual… It is just a copy of the site with the explanations like: “If you press the ‘Proceed’ button it means that you will proceed”. . If you don’t believe me, just make some more investigation about the script at all the forums that you can find. I just can’t believe that I was scammed again. There are so many problems, that there is just no way that he will correct them on time considering that he makes updates of his script at every half a year, that is, if he really make updates, or just make additions to the script that are popular at the moment, never minding the complaints of the customers that already bought the script. If this person does not correct the script as he was asked from a lot of customers, including myself, I will continue to give him the worse rating everywhere, until he stops selling it, or until he really do something about it. If you are also unsatisfied, please rate him here, because obviously he rates himself. And in the end, an advice for the seller: You better find I way to test your script yourself, instead of asking customers to give you their domain and hosting accounts info whenever they try to contact you about their problems with the script. There are probably some people that would prefer not to give you that info because of obvious reasons. If you were truly a professional, then you should try to solve your problems in your own environment. Now, take your pills, and get to work.

Hey my site has been open for about a week now, and i know i should expect good results so soon, but should I be getting atleast some registered users? Over the last 6 days or so, I have gotten around 90 unique views, but no one has registered? Any suggestions of how to get them registered would be great, thanks

I highly doubt this is the worst script ever. I have not found one bug with it, and it seems like these reviews agree.

The website design isn't very good, and if somone lists there items there arnt very much users on it to buy...

eBay is the best anyway.

To get users, you have to have users. Advertise locally, get some buddies to put some stuff up on there. If you have a friend that's going to sell something to another friend, why not have them do it on your site? The more transactions you have, the more credible your site will seem.
Another thing, I totally agree with emofree. Don't complain because someone makes a negative comment about your site. You're the one who wanted a review.
You need to make the graphics more professional looking. Your logo doesn't need a retro-ish look like that. If your site is dealing with money, you need a clean, professional look. You want to look credible, right?
You're most likely not going to make it in the online auction business (scratch that, make it *well*) unless you have something that makes your site unique. It's all been done before, why do we need another auction site? I wouldn't use your site in this state, even if you had users. Hate to break it to you. You need something to make your site unique, or at least try and make it look really slick, sexy, and professional. Just making it have better asthetics might not do the job, however.
Another thing, SEO is a key concept here. Make sure people know that your site exists. Try and get people to link to it.

This is going to take work to make this website a moneymaker. You can't just put together a website, throw it out on the internet and expect people to start using it (usually. Unless your site has that uniqueness factor, and even then, you need to advertise.).

Hoping you succeed!
-Trey

It's too plain, try and make it look more professional and maybe sleek and sexy. At the bottom it looks like just another script which has been uploaded in the hope of making some quick cash.

A week and no users?? To quote John McEnroe "You cannot be serious"!!!!!

I would suggest you need a serious reality check
With the princely amount of ONE item listed why would anybody in their right mind sign up????

Have you spent any money on REAL advertising?
Have you done any real advertising?

Or are you expecting users both sellers and buyers to turn up at a wave of a magic wand?

When you have done some serious advertising and have been around a year or so and still there is no users... start wondering

Also would like to add that the layout width isn't compatible with 1024 x 768 resolution.

Narrow up your site width to around 1000px to get rid off that horizontal scroll bar.

The layout is nice but the shadow effect on the logo is far too strong.

D1zl3, Your problem is a bit of a catch-22. No buyers without sellers and no sellers without buyers. In your situation what you need is people who are willing to take a chance on you and help you out. I'm going to send you a PM with something that I think you should check out.
