Building a site for someone, already have the template laid out. I haven't made a website in a while and have never been really good at adding content.

Basically the white space is one big table, the blue lines on the side are separate tables that repeat the blue background as more text/pictures/etc is entered. I want to be able to space out the content and make it neat and stuff. Any suggestions? Should I use dreamweaver editable regions, or something else?

Thanks,

Use the company's content. They probably have plenty of slogans you can play off of, and obviously-you need to get some nice, big images of ice cream in there.

You should be thinking about what you want your visitor to do
- your "Conversion Goal"- and work backwards from there.

Along the way you need to consider the AIDA principals.

Attention: Make the site is interesting enough to hold the visitors attention

Interest: Stimulate the visitors interest in what you are selling. Answer the key checklist questions they are likely to have when visiting the site.

Desire: Appeal to the emotional animal! Images of happy people doing happy things. Use emotional adjectives to describe your products.

Action: Show them how to hand over their money, or sign up or download or do whatever it is you want for your final objective.

Just sticking random content without some kind of plan is not going to work.

I mostly use the watch and learn principle. Take a look at how other people have done their site and pick the best ideas on how to setup your own content. But donīt just go copy and paste other peoples ideas

Another tip Donīt use tableīs!! Try doing it with just CSS. Positioning divīs is easier then you think!
