I'm integrating a hosted solution for a university bookstore. I'm asking for your suggestions on the design. We're working with 'simple design'. Is it effective? Thanks.

It's pretty dry and not too inviting. (Too much white space.) I'd find some better pictures and extend them across your top banner.
