Nice site. I like the concept, the content and the layout.
I think the logo is great too. Did you make that yourself?
A few suggestions.
1) the main nav looks a bit cramped against the top of the page.
I think if you gave it just 20px of space it would look more professional.
2) In the Meta Description tag you say that the hostings are provided by editors and users. But I cant see anywhere in the actual body that explains how the ratings are calculated, what criteria the hosting solutions are compared on or who by.
3) Its BAD to use JUST COLOR to convey meaning. Imagine I am using
a screen reader (ie. I am visually impaired). There is no way I am going to
interpret those ratings. You should also give the rating in text form.
4) You could tweak your title tag a little better for SEO
Instead of
Web Hosting Reviews and Ratings at HostingRef.com
How about :
Web Hosting Reviews and Web Host Ratings | HostingRef.com
That gives you the words Web Host in the title which is another popular keyword set I would imagine.
5) Get a better Contact Us page. If you cant program one yourself
get a third party contact form solution like Icebrrg.com
Now maybe you can help me.
I've always been confused about Hostmonster and BlueHost.
They are owned by the same company, hosted in the same location, offer almost identical service at almost identical prices.
plans. Why are they still seperate companies?
