Website Review and Suggestions

Hi,

Just looking for a quick review of www.rentjaveavilla.com.

It's a small website just to be used as a marketing aid for the owners trying to rent out their villa in Javea, Spain.

Design looks very pleasant.
You could have made the navigation text a bit bigger.

And just so you know, the fixed footer I think is nice
but the iPhone Safari Mobile browser doesnt support fixed
CSS positioning so it breaks on that platform.

You should check your spelling.
Its "amenities".

The contact form needs some kind of validation
feedback.

Needs a favicon.

You also need a map on the frontpage so people
have some idea where it is.

The first W is cut in half so it looks like vww.

Code wise it looks very clean.
Good to see that you are using the
http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7"
meta tag.

Probably the thing that concerns me most is from an SEO viewpoint.
You will definately need to broaden your target keywords.
I didnt find the words "Spain" or "Spanish holiday" mentioned even once!

"This is a luxury villa with a wow to it".
I think you can come up with a more compelling marketing pitch
than that.

Put a bit of thought into it.

I assume that you are at least thinking about getting a Spanish language
version of this site?

Thanks TWD your input is as always great and really useful.

Ok so most of the bits that you mentioned have now been put in place, just need to add the favicon.

The content from the site is purely down to the owner and I have no input on this so it will stay as is until they decide otherwise.

SEO. Again advice has been given as to how the content of the site can affect this but it is pretty much out of my hands.

Google map is now added to show location.

No there wont be a spanish version. It's squarely aimed at the UK market.

Fair enough. Clients can be pretty dumb at times.

But I hope you at least tried to argue the case.
If they choose not to listen its their funeral.
But you have a professional responsibility to at least try to
educate your client on such matters.

If I went to my local mechanic with a brilliant idea to redesign
the car so that the gasoline tank was situated behind the
front bumper bar, I would hope my mechanic tried to talk
sense into me.
