Website Review and Suggestions

I'm just starting out so I know the inventory isn't the biggest. Let me know of what you think. How I might be able to improve such and such a page. Also does anyone know how or where to buy stock images or get descriptions for free or cheap for this stuff?

You can get descriptions from gamespot or gamefaqs or ign or gamesradar otherwise their official websites.

otherwise try the game websites for game stock images or search engines' image search as they usually work.

As for your website - from a designer's perspective; I see that you have replaced the standard default logo and changed the theme to red but that's all. You should, if you're not a designer, get a designer to incorporate a gaming feel and replace the default icons with your own.

from a visitors' perspective; It looks cleam but not very gamer-ish. There seems to be a pattern of gloss and dark colours combined with graphic effects when it comes to gaming websites - consider this and plan out a design.

Just letting you know, i tried adding a game to a shopping cart and i got an error message.

Problem fixed with add to cart. Darn white space after the end of the file. Is it legal to take the content from IGN? or is the considered stealing intellectual property etc?

Tell some game forum admins to make some competition to win some games or gift from you.

Not to get personal, but from my previous web-based selling experience, you shouldn't purchase *anything* until you actually start selling...I know that sounds pushy but:

1. You don't over spend when it's not needed.
2. You don't get stuck with over-head (more merchandise than you can sell)
3. You can have more control on your site.

In general, I say you start with drop shipping unless you are really doing well enough to purchase in large quantities...As with many online gaming sites there's LOT'S of competition. By chance, have you done your homework in the 'my competition' area? I'm sure you seen that there's LOT'S of competition in the 'gaming market'...Prepare yourself, or other sites will moe you down. Best way to do so is find yourself a few reliable dropshippers (talk to them on the phone to acquire a business to business relationship)
