The front page has too much information on it. I had a hard time figuring out how to use it. I spent 5 minutes reading updates from the very first page, and by that time, I am bored.

Your best bet is a front page with only basic information stating what your board is for.

I think you should add latest posts on the main page instead of all that information. and you can put the information link somewhere in the top menu

Nice design but I'm not sure on the main content background I'd make this white so you can't see the body background (the strips).
