I like the design, positioning is excellent. Color choice is good. You could maybe consider to round corners.
I doubt that site with this concept can become popular, because there are established large sites with this concept and it is hard to compete with them. But if you try hard enough, who knows where is your end???
I think it would be more realistic to expect success with Q&A site which is dedicated to one niche, like for example webmasters Q&A, or cooking Q&A or something like that.
