Website Review and Suggestions

We have created a site that is free and for people who want to visit Thailand or are looking to immigrate or move to Thailand. We wanted to have a forum software that allowed for a community feel. We chose Invision 3.0 for the site.

Most of our traffic has come from Facebook and we have had the site going for about 3 weeks. We are currently getting about 1k visitors per day.

We did start a contest to Win a Trip to Thailand in the forums which has gotten many people to join the forum and start posting.

What suggestions do you have for the site? Other ways to promote it better? Any way to get the contest out there more?

I appreciate any suggestions or input. Thanks.

You need to do SEO and make your sitemap and submit it to Google, Yahoo, Bing.
Sign up for Webmasters on respective Search Engines to track your site listings, ranking and for analyzing visitors, use Google Analytics.

All the above mentioned tools are free.

your site is a little slow, for me performance is everything in a web site.
the l&f is ok, I dont believe so much in seo work if you have the right content that means quality content, in your case, imho, the content is good.

You need a more professional logo and sidebars... they are too simple

I like the over all look and feel but you need to clean up the code a little.

Search will penalize for dirty code.
If you use php to render the page let me know I can show you a small piece of code to clean it up.
Your contact link upper right needs to change color it blends in with the tree.
The only other thing I see it subjective to me the text is a little bright the orange is hard on the eyes. but as I said that is just my opinion.
It is a nice site all in all great job. and congrats on that much traffic that fast.

Open a Twitter account as well and maybe put a twitter and facebook banner on your site for people to follow you more. I like the background of your site. Congrats on all the quick traffic, I'm still working on that with my site.
