I would change the buttons, too much grey space, and maybe add margin on top to make the content more centered but thats about it. Great site

It is a pretty nice site, fast and easy to navigate, and its easy on the eyes. Though, i don't understand the purpose of it. It does let me know that you import specialty food items and wine, but it does not tell me if you can ship them to me or if you have a storefront you want me to walk into and buy them, if you indeed have a storefront, why not add a map to it so people in the area can find you easily?

If it is simply a place to send clients you already have to read about your company, then good job. If you want to make sales from it, you might want to add a buy from us page, or something similar so people know easily how to do it.

I am personally not the type to e-mail you to see if you sell these items, if you ship, and how much they cost. I am more just a buy it now kind of person.

Really, I greatly appreciate the feedback, that was helpful. I agree about some things mentioned...

The content was actually provided from my client / friend and I pretty much just designed the layout and copy and pasted the text that was provided.

I know there are a lot of technical errors I need to fix (IE alt tags not placed on some images, products need to be linked, etc.)

Yeah, I was told originally that it was mostly to be a site to provide info on the joint venture products shared by that "modena fine foods" parent brand. Great suggestion though.

Thanks again for the feedback. If something else is really peculiar, please let me know and I will try to correct it before I take this thing live.

The site is simple, add a background image and also put latest news section, and featured or hot product for adding some interest.

I wouldn't add to much to it, the simplicity is what makes it so appealing. I think once your website is up and running for awhile you can add some stuff to it!

i would change the background color surrounding the site, to a darker shade. that way it stands out. too much white hiting my eyes. just a suggestion.

I see you are on your way to an elegant design.

Currently, the balance is off. The yellow logo on the left feels like a ship that hangs deep into the water to the left.

For such a graphic element you need graphic weight to your right to balance it.

Could be a frame around the text, or have similarly yellow background to the text AND a frame.

The design is overall simple and clean, but I have to admit the design does seem to make the left side quite heavy.

Perhaps changing the background color or adding a picture to the right might help that. Overall, you are doing a great job.

All the change you can bring is at the left frame. There you can add some division lines to bring some distinguishing effect.

I think that you should have a main banner in the top and move your company name, address and phone number to the bottom of the page.

But other vice a nice simple design.

considering the type of site, I would put a flash menu across the top of the page instead of the grey buttons. And put the menu across the very top, not where the grey button bar currently is. Also, the contact info should be put into a link on the menu. Contact page maybe?

Hi Reckoner,

Nice site.

Perhaps for a smoother sort of visual you could be rid of the borders and use your wrapper's background image in the body instead. I wouldn't use different backgrounds for your body and wrapper - no need to break the page up like that.

I'd swap positions of your contact and phone divs (only because of the content height differences) and align the text in both of those divs to the right.

Really it's a nice simple site - I think it's just all of the borders that my eyes don't really want to see.

Where is logo of the site? You need something markful and graphical in the head...
