Website Review and Suggestions

I had this up this up before for some troubleshooting, but I have most things sorted now. I would really appreciate some reviews please?

My rating for your site is 9.0! Love the soft brown color to your site. But would love to see more photos of the delicious food you are catering.

Looks good, however, why does the page sit so low? There is a ton of space at the top that should be removed.

Makes me scroll more... Also, I think the quality can be improved on the images and the text in the footer should be lighter - a variation of gray perhaps.

Few of my suggestions for better conversions. You can utilize the top section by putting your Contact Info on the top right just near to the place where your header ends. You can include some testimonials if you have them. However, I also feel that you can change the design for your betterment. Like instead of having three columns you can choose to have one column and two rows. Where by you could have put the images in the top Row and used the second row for the text content.

Hope you understand what I mean.

loads a bit slow and there is a massive gap between at the top, is that intentional? overall not bad.

it's good looking site but some flash/ajax slideshow can be used for more attractive.

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah I designed the logos and site myself. Glad you liek it.

I originally had the contact details at the top right above the header, but the guy didnt like it, he wanted it centered in the page, thats how it looks on my screen anyway?

Your right about the footer text, it should be lighter, Ill change that, thanks.

Not too sure how to improve the load time? Some of the images are too poor quality as it is, so I cant make them any smaller? Should I make the background graphic smaller in quality?

I have no idea bout flash yet man, just started doing web design, Ill get around to it soon though.

I am going to admit, I don't like any aspect of this site, though it seems like everybody else would disagree with me here.

It just looks like too many different styles all clashing together in one.

I like the idea, it just, in my opinion, didn't turn out as well as I would have hoped.

I hope I don't offend, I just want to tell you my honest feelings.

If you want me to give you some recommendations just ask me, and I can tell you some.

Looks very nice , well done.

The style and colour sorta go well with the product. Its got that warm but not too warm feel and looks quite stylish.

I am not so keen on the soft brown colour, looks a bit bland... it needs to be a warmer tone in my opinion (a very pale teracotta or dusk pink would have been more inviting?) and the elegant font is so fine it's hard to read... but it's great how it's set out, pity the food images are small but understand that part... looks very stylish and these are just the slight changes i would make but that's just me... i could not build a site like that if i tried so.......

If the idea is to put everything inside the box you must avoid the scroll bar by reducing the top.

I guess the main problem is the space at the top, and the load time?

the colour design is nice, and i like how the image of the good looking food kinda like faded in (mmmm food)
very clean and i like how when you roll your mouse over the arrow it scrolls automatically,
on the venues page, theres text in the lower right thats overlapping other text, just fyi there,

the only actual thing i dont like it the length of the URL, 9.5/10.

Everyone has pretty much covered everything... the gap at the top, the image quality, etcetera.

I don't know if anyone covered the horizontal scroll, but that's a bit off putting as well.

Your choice of coding seems a little unnecessary. You could have used the CSS to define all the properties of your divs and placed the CSS in an external file, rather than setting some of the properties and then defining the rest within the div tag. And much of what you've accomplished can be done entirely with CSS, such as your menu buttons and sub menu buttons.

Is it still scrolling? Whats your screen resolution? I resized the whole site to 950 x 550....is this still too big?

Not sure about the overlapping text on the venue page? The text isn't overlapping in my software, or when I view it in my browsers?

The URL wasn't my choice, but it's ridiculous! lol

I have absolutely no clue about code. Can you try explain it a little more? I built it in Freeway 5 Pro, just works kinda like Illustrator etc. I never looked at the code once.

The website looks good and simple which is good. I noticed some of the writing is quite small and hard to read. Keep us up to date with the changes that has been made.
