You need more contrast in your text. Especially when you hover over a "categories" link, it's hard to read.
Other than that it seems pretty alright to me, you may want to work on your logo, though.

I've been considering using directory press for my own directory however I was hoping to get some feedback first as I believe it's fairly new.

Ok your site is up. First impression is that it has a modern looking template, however all the graphics which you are using on the template makes it look very amateur. I would encourage you to spend some time working on your graphics and making them look more modern. Overall the site is good though

When i clicked on the link it took a long time to load, and when it did load their was not a banner at the top, i do not know if you have on or not but their was none their when i went.

Other than that it looks pretty good.
