Website Review and Suggestions

After releasing the first version of my website, and receiving a good amount of negative feedback, I decided to go in a completely different direction.

With this design I tried to focus on the things I wanted to get across and nothing else.

I would love some feedback.

Looks good for me... also the old one is not bad.

Both versions look good.

The new version however seems to have text overflowing the rounded box div under the mac image.

Maybe the image size is too small for the font size?

I prefer the 1st version, it looks more full. I don't know if the secound version is finished but at least it takes more time to load then the 1st.

I don't agree with you, but this is just my opinion.
I prefer the second webdesign.
However this part is too loaded for me :

Maybe you can delete the information as "GBWD & Twitter", "GDWD & Digg" and only make clickable logos.

I don’t want to change opinions but I continue to say that the old version is more accurate.
I don’t think the owner likes more the secound then the 1st, as the first site is always the best……

I will think 8/10 is not bad at all... I just checked also the old one and it is better the new one mostly becuse the brighter color and background, it make look simpler, the black or anyway dark background is good only for photowebsit elike mine i guess

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I made some more changes today, I added a fadein/fadeout rollover for the portfolio thumbs, and made some other small text changes.

Also I'm having a weird problem that I could use some help with, I'm using a jQuery Tweet script and for some reason it wont load my tweets (twitter.com/gbabula) however it loads all others (I have nettuts up there now temporarily)

So I have to agree with TeteHaute about your "CONNECT WITH GBWD" section. The icons speak for themselves, they're very well known among those who will connect so there's no need for the text links. Anyone who doesn't know them doesn't use them so they're useless to those people.

I would lighten the stripes on the background, they're a bit distracting. You're duplicating content in "CURRENT PROJECTS" within "VARIOUS RECENT WORK" so there's really no need for the "CURRENT PROJECTS" section and you can move over the "WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU" section. For that particular section, I would suggest adding links to different pages that explain what you do, the process in which you get it done, walk them through technicalities and so forth.

Yeah your right I've been thinking about re-doing that section ever since I made it. I'll work on it this weekend and post again once done :-) thanks for the suggestions

I liked the older version of the website. Looks bright and is easier on the eye.
