I actually think the banner looks good. it may stick out, but i like it, to me it sticks out in a good way.
but maybe you could grayscale it and see what it looks like then?
And it also needs to be resized a little, i dont like how its over stretching the lines below it,
as stated above, the URL is too hard, i changed my url a while ago, at first it was gothicgeekcomprepair and now i abbreviated a few things and i like it much better,
I also think the sub categories are a bit messy, maybe you could have an organization system?
such as sorting by state, or like craigslist, what is the person selling, electronics? computer hardware? furniture?
other than that, the layout is not bad, a little bland for my taste, but im picky about my designs,
id give it a 7.
