I wanted to check with others to see if anyone has difficulty reading the navigation. A concern came over that is was too light.

I would have to agree, the nav text is too light against the background. Some people with visual impairments or color deficiencies may have trouble reading it. You might want to try this tool:

It does look a little light however it seems ok to me.

The website is good looking, nice and simple. Looks very professional.

Nice looking site - good work

You could keep the link color and make them bold without sacrificing a great looking design

As is, they stand out enough for me, but I can also see how there could be some concern for others regarding readability.

As I have recently become something of an expert on colour deficiency (not through choice though).

I can 100% confirm that your navigation colours are a problem

Navigation? what navigation?

The colors of the texts - particularly in the top part is subtle and can easily get overlooked.

I do agree that beside that issue, your iste looks really promising.

Look folks.. most of you are probably young with pretty darn good vision. What YOU see is not the issue, it's what your VISITORS may see.. or NOT see, as Chris pointed out. If you're going to build web sites, you MUST be aware of accessibility issues, color being one of them. Low contrast of text on a background may be 'trendy' but it's usually quite bad for accessibility.

Not all of your visitors are going to be young people with perfect vision!!

Thank you for the feedback everyone. Seems like a rift between design and accessibly, I made the text 25% darker to hopefully satisfy both.

Nice site man! Looks neat and professional. The images are nice, I liek the gallery layout. However, in the events....when you select a choice from the list of corporate etc..I would have the list on the corporate page too, instead of having to go back to the events page to select your next choice. Just a very small detail though. Well done!

Love the site but I was wondering why the text links at the bottom... Signature events - Event Services - and Venues is done with flash? It really lags for me and I was just curious why not do it with CSS or whatever?

it looks fine to me, but i could see users ith CRT monitors especially ons that are going bad, to have probelms seeing the nav links on your site, i say its fine, but other users may not see the same way,

Readability - great
Functionality - pages load quickly, as well as text and images, images and text are properly help linked, (i think thats what its called when you hover and get a label over a link or image)
view - awesome, makes me want to redesign mine,
10/10

The navigation is light and the font size is small and i think some people would have a hard time finding it.Try to make the nav brighter and bigger.Hope that helps.

First impression is that this site looks incredibly clean, but unfortunately it uses a background pattern which is black and then has black text over the patterned background - in design this is a no-no. I would encourage you to keep the site as it looks like, just that when you are going to setup a 1 row, 3 column interface to have the div's backgrounds be white. That way you can get around this readability problem
