Website Review and Suggestions

What do you think? http://www.wiseserpent.com. It's an imageboard not meant to have obscene material or anything. Will require a bit of moderation but.. Give me some feedback please, oh and if you could post something so Google doesn't deny my Adsense application that would be great.

This:

"This site is not for fools, please turn away if you have bad intentions or want to be funny, there are better websites for that."

is a great way to encourage both "bad intentions" and wanting "to be funny".

Other than that, I have absolutely no idea what that site might be about.

I'm guessing it's preachy in nature?

doesnt look much good. actually, a person visiting it for the first time wont know whats it about from the homepage.
could the homepage get more attractive and be added with more details? the main thing that the site lacks is 'information' abt the section a visitor currently is in. add that to every section.
overall the site is neat

I dont like it either.
Seems too green, and too old looking.
Its got nothing "web2.0" about it that most people like to see nowadays.

I even had trouble trying to figure out what the hell it is.
It seems a bit too complex when people can just use 4chan or alike.

I'm sorry to say this but it is not good at all, the color is really bad, use a different color than that green, and if you do not monitor what is going into the board then it will be filled with spam and porn images.

Also on your rules page you could make some of the rules clearer because some of them do not make sense.

Well...first off no offense. Do not take these reviews personally. You may not be a designer or at least a professional one. The design itself is just poor. There's minimalistic and then there is empty. This falls under the empty category. I suggest losing the 100% width and finding a nice design you can work off of. I also highly suggest you hire a web designer to help you get this together.

First impression is that the site looks like a throwback to 1996 as it does not look modern whatsoever. I would encourage you to redo the look of the site as of right now, it does encourage visitors to stay long, or actually look through the site. The NavBar is far too high, and needs to be brought down and highlighted, and the green background needs to be redone.

I created an imageboard, some of you have already seen it. I change it a bit and I want to know what you guys think of it now. Please look through it and rate it as an imageboard b/c I cant have high profile designs with a page refreshing constanly. Also replies on the content of the pages in the footer would be appreciated. I like the idea of your website, but if i were you i would make it where people had to sign up before they could post, because if the sight does good you will have tons of porn spam on it, otherwise it looks alright.

Good simple layout but I would make the menu buttons at the top a bit bolder, so they stand out a bit more. Also may be bring them down a bit or at the side as i noticed I was tending to scroll your page down a bit to read the text and didn't even notice the menu.

Thx, and spam should be handled with the captcha and spam program built into the site. I have to moderate it anyway, can always ban ip's

Site looks good, the headers look a little stale and standard but the layout is quite nice. I would add some sort of imagery on the home page for added effect.

Thank RobK will try and get some images but want to use my own and not downloaded from web. Thats what my banner is my own guitars that I photographed.

Hey, alot of you have told me to redo my imageboard so i have and then you said it was good but I thought I could do better so I want to know what you guys think now. Please go on the boards and test a post to see the reply background, read through some stuff and see if its ok, anything to help me make it better. wiseserpent.com

The site has too many colors and the layout is alright but it could be better, also it looks like your website could easily be filled with spam by users, maybe make it where they have to log in to use the service..

It is a perl script, I have spam completely covered. I can ban people and stuff log ips, ban certain words, have a capthca etc... But any suggestions on color? Because if i take it all out i wont have any color and it will be bland.
