Hi,

So it's been a bit over a year since opening RibbonsBaskets.com. We were hoping to have others critique the site on overall feel of the site, Browser incompatiability issues (Other than IE6) and any other changes you foresee will help our terrible conversions of around 1-2%

Also if there are any PHP or Javascript developers out there with zen cart knowledge please contact me by email at customerservice@ribbonsbaskets.com

I think it looks great, and the colors go good with what you are selling, i do not like the bottom of the pages, maybe add something to show where your content ends and the footer begins.

one thing bothers me though, which is the amount of products in your categories. Add some pagination to them so it's less to scroll down the page. Other than that, all else looks good. Reminds me of my old website, just a different color scheme.

Wait, I would also expand your product menu width so the text doesn't wrap to the next line. Not professional looking.

Good work otherwise

Design looks great! You are right Brian07002, scrolling on your products might annoy some visitors. You should add a pagination on it..

Thanks for all the great feedback! I really appreciate it, takes a long time to really start to have a well running web store.

Knight: Thanks for the recommendation about the footer, I've added some extra information to the Christmas and wine section recently which looks better than the other categories which I totally agree - the footers look like ****

Brian: We used to list only 20 products per page but changed it a while back to help reduce the pagination SEO issues we were trying to fix. By increasing the amount of products on the first page of the categories we thought this would help move goggle through the product pages better. I don’t think that happened, Google did not seem to reach those pages easier than before...if anything page rank was lost on most pages that had page rank before. Another SEO expert on the phone the other day mentioned that same thing, that we don’t have enough pages of products. Due to the comments here and what the SEO man said - I think I’ll be switching back to about 20 products a page.

Thanks to all that left feedback we all greatly appreciate it, it helps to know that the site is showing up properly on most systems – browser comp sucks!

This also reminds me of a recommendation someone had made to me to make on the product pages but I’m just not sure if I should do it or not. She recommended that we add a "next button" to the page to view the next gift. No one has really done this on ecommerce sites that I have seen...what do others think about this?
