Website Review and Suggestions

Hi, I've been working on this site of mine for the past four months on and off and i want some opinions of what you guys think of it. I'm not a designer or anything I'm just a bored programmer.

Anyway my site is about horror movies!

Now i know, It don't look very spooky for a horror site but i wanted to keep
the site clean with good load times.

I'm hoping to get some ideas to make it a better site so any comments/feedback are welcome!

It looks really simple, but that's good for a movie site! Them over technical sites who offer movies annoy me to death!

The banner and text is a bit plain and dosn't really give the site any ambition.

I would reccomend purchasing a logo from LogoNerds (I think they're about £20, compared to £90 from other places). Then get some 12 year old kid whos good with Photoshop to do you a banner for free.

Everything else is ace! and I like how you have a request form, well done!

I like everything but the 2nd gray bar on the top, the gray bar has online horror movies.net on it that bar does not look right their, maybe instead of that bar use a horizontal rule.

Grays don't work, neither does the white. Give it a theme, may be horror?

It looks better with that gray bar off, now their is one more thing i noticed that your banner is made from the poster of daybreakers the movie, if you keep that you may get in trouble for stealing someones design, i would change that if i were you.

Now just fix the hover over the links and it will look good.

Looks good.. the only is that I would change the blue font.. maybe black.. while your at it.. may as well change the background to black.. sorry im getting away with too much black..LOL . anyway it looks good.

yeah maybe the font colors are not quite right....red and black combo could be good...no offense jaguarsdesign but don't rate the idea of black bg - red if anything with white behind the text.
