Hi, I have converted my website from tables to div tags, I have notice loading time is so much faster, I have changed my colours a bit. Please tell me what you think, be honest http://www.Thai-discovery.com
Its starting to look better, maybe use only 2 or 3 colors and that banner still looks like two banners put together i would fix that, and maybe see what it looks like without the black borders.
I am amazed. Very nicely done site. I just have a couple comments. The Icon and banner run together. This can be fixed by creating a border for the table or using Paintshop Pro and fading the ends so they look like one. My other suggestion would be to put the blog section on a seperate page.
There's much to much colors used in the layout. Blue menu doesn't looks good and makes the menu hard to read. Adv section in the main part of the site also doesn't look proffesional.

Its very basic and simple looking. The banner could be improved on imo. The advertising banners are placed in an bad position imo. Ruins the look slightly.
Yes I might change the banner and also remove the top google ad. I only just learnt HTML and CSS for 6 months, once I learn more tricks and PHP and other languages, I will make the design better.
Looks good to me. one suggestion though, change the way blog post are shown in the index page. Add something eye catching. May be a border to images or something.

Chansen gave good advice regarding hot and cold colours, used properly colour can set the mood.
IMO the page is too long and requires unnecessary scrolling, why not put blogs on a seperate page.
As far as content goes I think you have a nice variety. I would imagine that for anyone thinking of visiting or moving to Thailand you can provide a lot of the answers to their questions.
