I'm shortly going to be redesigning my portfolio, but I'm wanting to get some good and bad construction comments on my current design and what you think it is lacking that I maybe can include in the next version..

http://escensi.com

Please also have a look at my work, and review those individually if you wish!

I dig it, simple and effective, gets your point across. Did you try flipping the columns? For some reason I think it would look better that way

Good stuff I must agree. Good colors, composition, and clean sleek theme.

I chose to have the columns how they are now as my previous portfolio had it on the left and always has been on the left so I wanted a change, maybe change it back to the previous of having it on the left, I'm not sure. Here's the previous one: http://escensi.com/new/do%20not%20use.html

I am viewing your site with a 800 x 600 screen resolution and when i view your site the page does not go all the way to the right or it is not centered.

I totally get the want to change it up. But I think just at least IMO, the content wants it on the left. You have .....and here's some of our finest work and it looks like its missing something. Whos work? Whos "Our"? oh wait, its Escensi.

But moving it back to the left is saying We are Escensi "..... and here's some of our finest work" People wanna know who you are first.
Again, just my opinion.

Leopard,

Thanks for that detailed screenshot. I'll try and make those changes this week when I get a few minutes to myself heh. Busy week

delvec,

Yeah, I'll have a think and try swapping them around and seeing how it looks.

I'll report back when I have something else to show

Thanks for accepting the advice. I hope I didn't sound rude, I meant only good. I can't wait to see the changes.

They arent supposed to be working- just placeholders for whatever content will be going in there.

Your Previous/Next scrolling panel is really eye catching, the way the graphic and text scroll horizontally at the same rate!

You can probably catch a user's attention by making it auto scroll, if that does not become too annoying.

I feel like I fell into a template site. Where is your content? Is this a test site that is being updated?

I like the design, it's simple yet classy. I do second the notion of swapping your columns. Most people expect the logo of a site to be in the upper left corner. It's just how it is, I guess that's how the human mind works. For being a web developer, I don't think you want to be different in this aspect. When I first read "... and here's our finest work", my first thought is that the page is not correct. All in all though, I like the color scheme. Good luck.
