I created this site about people who move from one country to another to begin a new life.

My brother and his wife moved to Spain some years ago, so I thought this site would be useful in helping anyone who is considering moving to Spain by giving suggestions and tips about settling down there.

Expats in Spain

All comments welcome as I look to improve it where possible.

Nice website. It would be more helpful if the website provides some contact details also of all the needed service offices which are mentioned in the website

Looks good, maybe try to use a picture of Spain as your top banner like a city in Spain or something like that, otherwise it looks really nice.

When I visit this site, I really don't know what its purpose is. Making this clear on your home page would be a plus. I agree with the need for a new logo, as make this logo link back to the home page. There is no clear way to get back to the home page, as the home page link says 'Dreams'. Also, none of your pages have useful names, just page2, page3, etc. Your horizontal navigational bar blends in with the ads by google. I don't like the ads by google being placed there as well, it's in the main area of the page and I think that's where your content should be, it just doesn't give me a good feeling of your site (maybe that's just me though). I think a little re-organization of your site would do you well, as you have all your links (or so it seems) in the vertical navigation. There are a lot of links here, too many I think. Maybe create a few main pages and place these links on a proper page. I don't want to sound harsh here, but I am just giving you my 0.02 cents.

Ok, thanks. There is a `contact page` already, and I receive all emails sent via that. I`ve also provided some links on a few of the pages to external sites relevant to that page`s topic.

Thanks for your comments, they are all appreciated.

I accept 100% your point about the pages being numbered rather than named. It`s a point that many of the others who use the same script have also mentioned, and the company providing the template have promised to change it so that names can be used rather than numbers, which of course is much better.

As for the links, I`ll look at those again, along with having a better header made which reflects more properly what the site is about.

I have actually thought about placing an image of the Union Jack next to the Spanish flag at the side of the images of my brother and his wife, where at the moment there is a blank white space.

Very informative site, but I think:
1. You need SEO to get visitors. Current short Titles and short filenames doesn't help that. And then it becomes to link building.
2. Asking for a sponsorship to buy a book from Amazon is funny. Have you ever earned any commision from that? Better stick on some advertisements., even Google Adsense could earn somenthing more.

currently homeless in Barcelona, Spain.

Yes I think you`re right, but unfortunately with the script I`m using there is a maximum character limit which hopefully is to be done away with soon. I agree longer titles & description tags are usually better.

Yes, I`m an Amazon Associate so I do earn from sales, both on this and my other sites.

I do have Google Adsense already on it.

Are you able to change the colour of the links on the left from blue to something different? The default blue links always look dodgy to me. It looks like a list of adverts rather than subheadings.

If you can change the background of the links too to an off-white or grey that would help.
