Website Review and Suggestions

hello,

I would like to know that how can i improve page impressions of my website. I usually get around 400 unique hits to my website and page impression are around 1000, which makes 2.5 impression per visitor. To me this is way to low. Can you suggest me what steps should i take to improve over all situation of page impressions ? Is it something wrong with website structure or any thing else.

The best trick to improve Impressions is to subscribe at Traffic exchange websites and start the automated browsing window. You will see your impressions doubled and even more that expected.

Good plan NOT Get a load of meaningless, useless junk traffic so it inflates some meaningless, useless junk stats.

Sure, do something like that if it inflates your ego and make you think you pages are doing well, by the number of times they are viewed.

These "metrics" are just BS they mean NOTHING!!

Why does it matter if every "visitor" only looked at one page??

It's not as if they are reading a novel and have to follow the story on to the next page.
If they land on the page, find what they wanted, then leave, WHY does it matter??

Now IF you are running a forum then you probably want people to read the "interesting" threads and posts, but for the majority of sites IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER.
If you are running an informational site you may want the visitor to find related articles, but it's not a requirement. If the article has what the reader needs on one page, why should they bother with more at that point in time? Hopefully they will return to read more at a later date.

If (in the rare case) your site actually sells something, then you probably want your visitors to arrive, then exit via the checkout process (or the "Buy NOW!" process).

Don't fool yourself into thinking every visitor should view at least 3.729 pages it's simply a number that without any qualification is just a pointless statistic.

Well thanks. It makes much more sense. I am certainly not interested in gaining useless traffic from non geniun sources.

The reason why i asked this question is that i thought there might be something wrong in my site structure or something, but never thought in this perpective.

That's, uh, probably the worst advice possible.

To me, the reasons seem pretty obvious - a) It looks like this site was written for Google rather than the reader. The constant bolded text doesn't enhance the readability - it just highlights your keywords for Google.

b) The layout is confusing. With so many different shades of gray-black, I can't tell anything apart. Which is an actual link, a Google ad, or just plain text? I don't know. It's very disorientating to look at.

c) This also leads me into the final issue: The ads. They are everywhere. They even take up most of the first page. You have three lines of real text, and two HUGE ads.

If you're really committed to lowering the bounce rate or increasing a users "feel", then you're going to have to look at this page from the users perspective.
