Website Review and Suggestions

Dear All,
As I need to introduce myself, I am a young designer/tailor from Laos. With my boyfriend, we have opened a shop named “Elégant”.
Our shop is located at Vientiane, in Laos! Eh yes!
Shop of clothing in silk or cotton and silk blended, and many another accessories such as scarves in silk, hats, hand-bags etc and also of the silver jewelries.
Products which we make by ourselves: clothing (ready-to-wear and made-to-measure), we create our own collection of fashion and other products are carefully selected.
The customers targeted are mainly foreign customers to Laos such as resident-foreigners or tourists), it is therefore very limited.
We wish to widen our sphere of activity by creating a shop online.
We have been confronted with various problems, in particular for the mode of payment online. Indeed the banks in Laos do not propose yet a merchant account with payment gateway online. PayPal does not support fully Laos, only functions available are “to make payments” but not to “receive payments”.
We were thus obliged to open a PayPal account located in neighbor country, in Thailand. But our business not being recorded in Thailand, we cannot still propose a payment directly with Credit card online (as we cannot open a merchant account in Thailand with payment gateway).
In conclusion, we have only Paypal as solution of payment.
In spite of this, we wished to create our website, and finally here it is: www.elegantlaos.com (in English only for the moment), but we wish to do it in several languages, soon in French, then in German.
So that’s it for the presentation!

We have now many questions, about referencing our website, to make it known, to analyze it.
Other interrogations as for the website itself: what about its design, its speed of launching (it seems too slow to us).
What must be improved? What you think about the photo, the presentation of products etc…
In short, all your suggestions, comments etc… will be welcome.

Your site is very nice ! I'm very new at website design but the one thing I would do is link your logo to your homepage.

The logo is good, but the white box surrounding it doesn't look good. Can the black part be made to stretch across the top?

The biggest problem for me though, is the main font looks very childish. (Comic Sans)
I would advise Verdana or something that looks more elegant.

Bandwagon, I take a note about what you said regarding the logo, but I am not sure about what you mean by "Can the black part be made to stretch across the top?"
For the font, I agreed too. I was looking for something "elegant" too, but also easy to read. Still not sure what to use.

Please, do not hesitate to be criticism but constructive. It is always profitable.

The Logo still needs some working on it. Try to make it a bit clear(font is too thin).And in your shopping cart do not show the 'your cart ' section in the start.Add a page which shows category when u click on shopping cart

Your site looks decent the colors are good i do not like the white border around your logo and you should make the top and bottom of the site black, that way the banner would blend in and make the logo bigger.

I think your site looks really good on the whole, but I agree that you need a more sophisticated font - try tahoma or trebuchet.

I like some of the clothes you have on sale too!

Since you are reaching an international audience, I think you need to make it clearer what currency those prices are quoted in - when I see $ I assume USA $, but is that right?

I suggest some text on the page. You give the search engines nothing to work with.
Your title tag is too long. It should be 66 characters or less as that is all that will show up in a search. You also need at least a description tag. It can be up to 150 characters including spaces and serves as your advertisement on a search engine results page.
