Website Review and Suggestions

So far the site is in the development stages. Im looking to check function and get input on appearence above all else. The content for now is irrelevant as its just filler content.

Id like to make sure the site displays correctly & works correctly and i want to get opinions on the style/theme, additional features, and uneeded features.

Once im confident in the functionality and appearence of the site, then i will add content to it at which point i may come back here to get more feedback.

If you come accross something that doesnt work/look right, please take note of it in as much detail as you can. Thank you.

Theme looks good, but it will look better with some unique content.

I think ive cleaned out all the bugs, if we could get a couple more reviews on the functionality and theme of the site i would appreciate it.

I would suggest making the login section more compact. Also getting 'Featured' and 'Latest Headlines' similar to the way 'Reviews' and 'Featured stories' are shown, would move things up. So user has more options without scrolling.

Thanks for the suggestions. As for the login widget, that gets drastrically smaller once someone has logged in, but i will look into making it more compact when a visitor isnt logged in.

As for the sections on the home page, i have modified it a bit although not as far as you suggested. Since the use of thumbnails was one of the more attractive features of that theme, id like to highlight it, but i agree it was taking up more space then i wanted. I have tweaked it so that there are less posts shown in "featured" and "latest headlines", but so that they maintain their style.

Thanks for the reviews guys, anymore insight, critism, or suggestions would be great.

The header and navigation does not go all the way to the right hand side when viewed with a screen resolution of 800 x 600.

Thanks, appears to do the same on my computer too if i set it to 800x600, although the next notch up 1024x768 works perfectly. Ill look into seeing if there is a fix for this.

I agree, and if the site didnt utilize thumbnails id probably work on the coloring. I just feel like the vivid thumbnails i try to use should be whats eye catching, not things like background or menu bars, etc.

Ive finally put the finishing touches on the site. Im starting to upload real content, although its still a work in progress (still using filler content in the gallery, for example).

Im looking to add a functional facebook badge (currently just goes to facebook home page) at the end of the month when i create the account.

Got feeds working with feedburner for RSS, youtube and twitter, and have been adding content slowly.

I open to any more suggestions, critism, or praise. Thanks.
