A good effort! I like the overall design a lot but have a few ideas:
> Your logo needs more padding, it feels squashed against your menu atm.
> Your main welcome image is OK, but I feel it could be improved upon. Right now it doesn't show a lot about you, you need to really impress people with this initial image! Show some of your personality!
> This part is important for you getting a LOT more clients! The bottom part of your site is nice, but very unprofessional. Scrap all the personal stuff about you, it's not your myspace page. It's good to be personable, but convey this through your language and style of design, not through a list of your favorite foods. You should be listing your SKILLS as a developer here, that's what potential clients are looking for. Additionally, the contact me fade down part is cool, but not great in terms of usability. It's essentially one small link. I would personally have one column bullet pointing your developer skills, then one with a form for 'hire me'. No links, not email addresses, just a clear form to prompt clients.
