Sorry, I didn't know where to post this.

Last fall, I created a site in HTML and CSS. My client requested that he would be able to make edits to the site, so I've now re-structured the site completely, and customized the site using wordpress.

This was a big site, so it was kind of a PITA.

Everything is now said and done, but I don't know how much to charge , as I had to troubleshoot quite a bit and go in to add all of the pages - again.

Would $400 sound unreasonable to charge this client? He sounds willing to pay anything, but I don't want to take advantage.

I kind of feel like that amount is overcharging, but at the same time undercharging as I really did a world of work to get things set up...

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Keep in mind the number of days or hours you worked for all those changes.
Consider a price for an hour or a day and you can easily establish the entire cost.

Entire price = Price per day * Number of working days
or
Entire price = Price per hour * Number of working hours

You may also consider a discount

Okay - total hours worked was about 16. I consider $20 / hour to be pretty reasonable.

The trouble is, that I had to figure things out as I went along as I've never done something like this before, but I did create some new things that would really help the site out as far as plugins, conent, SEO, etc. My gut feeling is that $300-400 sounds good but am open to feedback if that's too high.

If you had to figure things out as you went along, someone who knew what they were doing would have done it a lot quicker, so what would the real hours work tally be? Plus at your rate it is $320 which isn't quite $400.
