Website Review and Suggestions

I was contracted by a local spa to redesign their website and I wanted to share the new layout. I'm very glad she choose this particular layout as I find it elegant and calming, perfect for a day spa.

It's still under development of course, but you should be able to get the gist of what the end product will look like.

Looks nice, I like the colors they go well with each other.

nice layout generally but the bold italic green text is awful. Bold and italic very rarely work well together, and never for main body copy.

there's no hierarchy of headings

the grid effect on the background looks a little too business or school for me, how about a soft noise filter?

a footer would help balance the design and finish it visually.

Davemies, what you took a screenshot is not my work, of course. That is their original website. The other link is my work. I would be embarrassed to have produced something like what you took a screenshot of.

wow that's really nice! did you illustrate the lotus flowers? good job.

you should make a favicon too - it looks nice and memorable when people bookmark it,

No worries.

You're right about the favicon...It's something I always forget! I really need to print out a copy of my checklist and use it instead of it just being an article on my website.
