First of all, in my 1440 x 900 browser window, your background image repeats. You may want to look into changing your background image to something that can repeat, or simply a larger image.

I like the navigation bar, however, the font is a bit small and doesn't contrast enough with the gray background color, making the buttons hard to read. Also, on the Arts page it looks like you accidentally stuck in another button on the end. And why isn't the Home button first before Arts?

Can the Google custom search box have a transparent background? Also on the home page, the "Home search engine" text needs to be much larger. Along with that the text color on the union/partnership page needs to be consistent with the rest of the pages (preferably white).

I agree with the previous poster about a transparent search background, that would make a world of difference. Also submit a new category smashes into the link next to it on firefox. And i think the text needs smoothing. It looks a little pixelated.

The background is really bad, and to be honest unless you have tons of money your search engine will probably be worthless.

Ya I must say that the background is a bit distracting. The key to creating a successful website is just making to different - do something no other website does, or make it better. I think you have a chance at having a successful website if you just have the search results be from legit, quality websites. But good luck!
