You have way to much content on one page, maybe split it up, also when i hover over your side links the text disappears because the hover background is white and you have white letters.
I think it would help if you spent some time redistributing some of the articles to various pages and get them off your home page. The site design is very basic.

Your website is taking time to load. For website speed you can try converting your website from table to div as this will have a considerable effect on your website loading time. Also try to validate your website according to W3C standards. Change your website title to something which people are actually searching like Science Articles etc. Make seperate after every 4 or 5 articles as your website is looking very lengthy.
