Website Review and Suggestions

I've had my site up about a year at http://www.gatewayknives.com and was thinking about moving the links that are above the header (the lake image) down to the side navigation, left and right....so i'd be moving the free shipping, shop by brand, search, and cart done to the left and right sidebars..do you think thats a good idea or do they look ok at the top of the header like they are and i shouldnt mess with them? thanks

I'd leave em where they are.
But I think you need some roll over effect on your main horizontal navigation.

yes i agree, definitely need to have that show up better on the horizontal nav...any suggestions, positive or negative throw them my way

Maybe it's juts my browser (Chrome) but something isn't right. I attached a screen capture to help me explain...

1. This is too much. It stands out more than your logo. I'd move it and that way you can get rid of a lot of the white space up there.
2. This might just be a browser thing but somethings janky. Those dropdowns should all be aligned.
3. Again this might be a browser things or my widescreen but you gotta get rid of that white space.
