Website Review and Suggestions

Hi I have had this website for quite some time. I can't sell anything on it I can only transfer to amsoil or wait for a call. I would like to get more traffic somehow and increase my conversion rate. I would appreciate any inputs.

Hire a designer AND a copywriter to start with.

It looks like it was designed by a six year old with a box of crayons!

The entire site is a confusing mess of colours and fonts!

This page for example, is utterly unreadable!

No structure. No paragraphs. No punctuation.

You should heed your own advice!!!

AND No I never apologise for speaking my mind!

BTW do you use MS Frontpage (ExpressionWeb) by some chance?? and I sincerly hope you didn't pay somebody for that design! If so, please name them so they can be avoided in future.

I agree with the others, this should be completely redesigned. Not sure what the site is about and I did want to dig too deep into it.

i would say get a new banner at the top and were you have words on the side highlighted i would take that out and just try to clean it up a bit don't make it hard for costumers to find were to go

Chrishirst, I didn't use frontpage i used the sitebuilder provided by storesonline. I was thinking of using dreamweaver. I am hot sure yet that I have the hours that it would take to master it. Do you have a suggestion for a good piece of site building software package?

Wow, their are lots of problems with your site, if you want to fix it up start by removing all the colors behind the links and text, then make the text readable, and that would help some. If i were you i would just start over and go to a few sites and get a couple ideas of how things work then just redo everything.

Agreed. Hire a designer and let them handle it. I would never buy anything, nor even read anything from a site that looks like yours.

I think your page needs refining. I saw:

 

in the left hand side column and some of the highlighting of the words looked unprofessional. I would fine tune it a bit to give a more professional appearance. You could also ask family members who are not as internet savvy what their initial impressions are or why they wouldn't buy. Honestly, with things like oil I tend to buy in person, maybe give some sort of incentive like be the information expert or some sort of authority.

There also seems to be a huge amount of information on the front page, too much to really be processed and be useful.

An about page would be good too, tell me who you are.

The look isn't that enticing. It looks like a late 90's web site.

You need a designer ASAP. In some cases, your site looks like an ad web site.

Just what i was thinking. To many fonts and sizes. If anyone went on this page and saw the state it is in they will click on the back button.

Download a nice template and start from there.
