Greetings from GarfieldP.com
I own and operate GarfieldP.com and have helped it become a semi-active forum supporting a wide variety of topics. Its a place for anyone to relax and have fun the Garfield way!

It contains have many interesting media components, like Garfield comics etc. I would like you to pop over here and take a look. Give me your comments on what I could do better, what I am doing good, etc.

Its alright but, shouldn't the forum be all about Garfield? i think it is weird to talk about computers and cars on the same forum.

Yea this forum talks about that stuff, but it is not a big focus, on this forum its just a small section in the general talk, on the garfieldp forum it seems like they are main sections.

I mean their is nothing wrong with it, i just think it is a little weird.

Do you find it weird that there is very little about a very large river when you go to Amazon.com?

Odd thing is perception.

A site that just about everybody will have heard of has the name of a river as a Trading name and domain name, that started off selling books, raises no thought to the "relevance of the domain name to the site 'theme' "

yes, those are true. In fact, I was going to add a news forum as well to keep the users up to date on forum and world issues

To be honest you are trying too hard, and by trying to be "all things to all people" you will fail, because you will be spread too thinly. With no focus and no direction how do you expect the forum to grow? assuming you want it to grow of course.

Yeah but the difference is that Amazon.com dosnt have rainforest and a river when you go to it, this site is actually garfield themed its not just the url. that said I do like the theme it is fun. But the forum is waaaay to broad to start, makes it look empty. Just have one forum for everything and then split it up into groups as it grows. good luck!

Certainly BUT you need focus.

It's common misconception to try and cover as many topics as possible initially, or to have a category for every conceivable topic within the genre/subject.
DON'T it simply makes it look empty.

Do you walk past a restaurant or cafe and think, that looks empty I'll eat here 'cos I'll get served quicker, or do you walk up the road and go in one that is busy because it probably means the food is better?
