I my opinon, this kind of site should have a web2.0 design~~
don't care about the scripts you use, but you should have a modern design first, cos I think this is web2 kind ot site! you should do more work on your design!!!

Can you elaborate on what is considered as a web 2.0 design? I googled but I can't see how a web 2.0 design is different from the design of any website. What are the key elements in a web 2.0 designed website?

Loading speed is pretty fast, no issue with it.
I do not really like the lightest shade of the layout, however it's just my single opinion and personal taste. But I guess there can be a more...ghm...noble shade.
The concept itself is great, I do not remember seeing anything like that before.
The header looks good)
Don't you have a mailing list? Perhaps you'd launch it so that visitors could get the latest updates on the topics they are interested in.

Hey thanks for the valuable feedback Idea_Informer! Just to clarify though, are they meant for the production design at www.ficklepeople.com or the experimental design at test.ficklepeople.com?

Edit: Oops, on your question on the mailing list, I don't have a function to mass send email updates to the users at the moment. But I do occassionally post updates on the Facebook fanpage.

The site looks good but the color is really bad, when i go to your site i am looking more at the color then the content, maybe use the same colors but just make them a lot lighter and see what people thinks, i think it would be an improvement.

The test fickle site looks great, you should use that one the colors on that site looks very good.

Hey man, glad to hear that you liked it. As you have adviced, I have switched the colors from the test to the production version.

I have also changed the font to Verdana and added borders to images, hope this will be my last design change,

You don't think the target audience is a little too broad?

The dark colors are a bit of a turn off.

Little tip. NEVER use red on Black or even gray background.

Think you need a better logo too.
Get a professional to do one for you.

@TWD - Yes I do think the target audience is way too broad. But I only learnt this after developing the website. No turning back now...

You know one of the things I learned about after posting my website for review is that, you can never satisfy everyone. Some are saying it is good, some are saying it is not.

@dazw1 - Can you explain with a little more detail why didn't you like the body of my website?

@sassie-girl - You mean the header is taking too much space? Or that the logo is too big?

@TWD - Any suggestions what color to be used for the background?
