Website Review and Suggestions

So, My website is currently having some problems on the sub folders - please ignore that. But overall, please tell me what you think about the colors, the header, etc.

This is a design site / portfolio website that I use to make web templates/layouts for fan sites.

Any comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello. This is a decent attempt at a design. It's not boring, that's for sure. I'm a little confused about the structure. It looks like a myspace page, or blog, or something...If you are trying to show your portfolio, you want to feature some examples and highlight that area of the page so people know that is what the page is there for. The ad banner at the top is not helping you at all and makes it look unprofessional. A page should have 5 discernable areas: header, navigation, billboard/showcase area, main content, and a footer. These 5 areas should be off-set from one another so they are easily discernible. Well, that's probably enough out of me...Keep working on it.

Thank you for your review. And it IS supposed look like a myspace page/blog...maybe I wasn't really accurate in my description. But this is supposed to be "custom"..like, you know when you google an actor or actress? The sites that come up are "fan sites." I design for those fansites....its much like myspace.

and as far as portfolio, I just meant, its a place to make graphics...not professional portfolio type stuff. more like....icons, fan-banners, and things like that...
