Website Review and Suggestions

Hello, it has been almost a year since I posted my website here for review, it took that long believe it or not to make all the suggestions that were given to me last time actually happen.

Design of your website is not bad but it should be better.Images of T-shirts are a bit big. Or you should design them in another form to look better.

I would use a different background, the type you are using (where it sits in the back BEHIND the body content) looks a lot like an ad-space background. I recommend you choose a background that goes with the banner image, or change the banner image to match the new background. Just make sure they go together and don't look completely different.

Also the navigation could use some work, it looks pretty plain, if you do keep it the same at least make the about us and search items look the same as the others, i.e. bold

The t-shirt sizes table on product pages looks inappropriate, you should use css to give the table a nicer design:

Consider putting a line (top border) over the footer, now it seems like its part of the main content.

Other than that the site look pretty cool. Do you produce these shirts yourself or is it from an affiliate program?

We actually buy the shirts, I have been designing shirts as I work on the website but have not printed any yet.

prices on the front page
I would say price (x) + (x) packaging
buy 3 get the 4th free would work super on this site.
the rest is quite good if I was not broke I would have bought a t-shirt actually.

i agree with gemel... prices should be more clear, cut down on the pictures sizes a little bit... maybe make it pictures that zoom in when you click them instead (sorry I'm sort of noobish on php/html/css etc so I don't know exactly what its called).

I think the site could benefit from some graphics as menu items in the header instead of the text links up top. I would consider removing the tiled logos in the background as it makes the site look rather busy. You could also move that book mark button at top left to the footer to reduce clutter.

If possible, I would consider shooting new photographs of your inventory. Photographing the shirts on a mannequin just distorts the angles of the printing on the shirts. Shooting them on a flat surface may be better. I would also remove the links to all your other shirts at the bottom of each individual product page. A few "related" items would be appropriate but what looks like the entire catalog on every page is unnecessary.

I like the slideshow like feature but I did not feel in control. I would suggest some way to cycle through the "pictures" in the slideshow.

Your site seem is good but could be better, the design looks very common. Also, you should put some google adsense on your site to generate some money. God knows we all need some of that.

While it may be tempting to do that I wouldn't recommend it as it looks very unprofessional for ecommerce sites. Also you may end up losing potential customers to your competition in return for a few cents as well as looking unprofessional at the same time.

I think your site looks very good. I think your background image and header image are fine but on the right of the image it looks like it's an attempt to blend the image that went wrong. I would suggest adding some more stuff to the right of the header image so you can see they are different images like on the left.

Thanks, I will try and make the banner stop looking like a failed blend, and either make it blend or obvious that it doesn't. Good points thank you.

I have removed the lines from the borders so far, it was an easy fix, and I actually never noticed how visually offensive it looked, much better since its gone.

The homepage is actually the only page without pricing. All though all of you entered through the homepage, 95% of our customers do not.

The shipping prices change quite often and with weight and distance considerations, it is easier for us to just have them on the payment site right now.

I am going to put some controls on the slide show eventually, and maybe some zoom features, good points thank you. I will work on the top navigation a bit as suggested, and make some changes to the footer.

I will continue to work on most of the changes here. Any other suggestions?

yep! that's my first impression too! some small horizantal spaces between them should help
