Website Review and Suggestions

I have put the last two iterations of my personal website up here for review. This is the latest one. I am not particulary confidant in what I have just now so I am posting with the just the home page content coded so far. The entry date display will eventually be rendered with CSS sprites when I finalize the arrangement. I am having a lot of trouble thinking of something that looks good there and would welcome any feedback on that particular element.

I don't like color for the link. Is the default one and I have a problem with it. Maybe a mauve from your date?

The links are now styled. I also have the portfolio and about pages started.

I would make the header less high (say 130px?) as it is VERY dominating - the black background at the top and much lighter colour for the rest is a little eye-straining.

I like the way you have styled the text on the dates, and it is very good overall, nice one.

Looks decent, but it looks crowded and the text is jumbled together i would fix that and it will look better.
