Website Review and Suggestions

Hi all,

Many moons ago I had this little software company and produced a few little utilities and games but nothing really came of it. I've had the domain for over 7 years and thought I might as well put it back to some use so have put together a quick portfolio site there. Please take a look and let me know if anything is broken. I've yet to add the proper text to the featured posts, and there is a lot of automated posts going on there too so I'm not after a review of the textual content, just whether the site is working okay?

I agree, it's loading really slowly. The layout is fine but the thumbnails of your designs are of a terrible quality - what software did you use to reduce the image sizes? And the right and left arrows on the slider do not work.

It is not a bad site, but these things need working on, rather than the layout itself.

No it loads quite quickly!

But it RENDERS like treacle rolling uphill!!

Too many fancy pointless effects.

If you want to show people how many jquery effects you can cram onto a page, at least wait until they are "on the course" rather tripping them up at the starting gate.

You might want to consider using something like google pagespeed and see if you can locate the bottleneck. It may be something you can solve quickly.
