Website: Gift For Men

The website randomly generates gift suggestions from the database for men.

The funny part is the domain name "Gift-For-Men.com" is a keyword that's searched 200,000+ times a month ( According to adwords keyword tool ). What a waste of a good domain name huh? Lol

nicely coded

one thing I would change is I think that your text and background combination makes your site a bit hard to read

Not much to the site, and the colors are not really that good, i would really think about changing the colors.

i don't think the original poster owns that site... and if they do...can you say redesign.

but I also don't agree that its a waste of a domain, the links all goto amazon to the product where the site owner gets a commission for the sale.

@Nathan: I did all the design/ coding myself. Your right I'm changing the colors as we speak.

@Knight: I'm changing the colors and there idea is random suggestions for gifts.

@Jim Gillum: The website was inspired by the popularity of the simple website http://whatthe****shouldimakefordinner.com/. The websites current traffic rank is 41,000.

@Digitalfriend: See Above

@Pathmaker: I am, my eyes are perfect so it's hard to base designs around bad eyes.

@Bloozan: Thanks

@Moddish: See the @Jim. I'm just testing if the content of this website can go viral like the website above. If it does then I won't need to change anything. If it fails I'll create a better website.

@asianbridge1 Wow...

That's cause I took it down... I actually realized I was being dumb by doing this. I decided to set up a blog instead so I can actually make money.

Thanks Everyone.

That is only one keyword, and the competition is not easy, just look up the competitors yourself.

If you're going to beat let's say "menkind.co.uk", you'd need a content based site built around the theme of gifts to men, with something interesting to read before start talking about sales.

I'd use some categories to let people browse the site instead of just listing endlessly.

But do your homework to begin with. The demand is reasonable, there is a market. But how is the supply. And are there many related keywords also with good demands.

Like this page for example: Cooper Cooler Rapid Beverage Chiller

Is that actually a keyword that people look for?

Try to find 10-20 keywords related to the theme with good demand and you'll have yourself a concept for a site that could be nice

The main problem with your current site is that you most likely won't get much traffic from the search engines. And when I click on a link called "101 things every man should know how to do", then I'd like to end up on a page reading about 101 things every man should know how to to, not being redirected to Amazon to buy some book about it. That's value u know. You need to provide some kind of value too before you can start selling.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about... First of all I have alot of websites featured on the first page of google for alot of different keywords. Here's how this will go, it's been the same for every single website I make.

I make a website and build content (like I'm doing; Google likes to see pictures/ movies/ writing ). Which is why you'll notice a picture on everypage. Anyways, when I build about 10 pages Yahoo will index me and I'll automatically be on the first page of Yahoo. Yahoos search doesn't feature any kind of filter. All it takes to get to the first page of Yahoo is 100% domain name keywords, 100% title keywords, and 100% h1 keywords.

Now if you don't believe me watch. Just keeping watching (site-for-men.com ) on yahoo and once it's indexed within a week I'll be on the first page.

Since Yahoo only gets about 6% of the search I won't expect much traffic. Hopefully just enough to pay the bills and a little profit.

What I mainly want is first page on Google which will come. Though, since the website is just starting to be hosting I'll be in the sandbox for a while (6-1 year) Over that time I'll just build content like I'm doing and then eventually I been on the first page. Don't believe me check the front page of Google for the keywords Gift For Men in a year.

How do I know? I have countless websites on the first page of google for a bunch of different keywords. Now the bull you spewed off doesn't have any cited experience behind it. So please tell us how you figure your correct?
