Neat design but it fails validation for XHTML on only 1 error which is on line 81, for at least the front page. The <a> tag does not support the alt attribute. Other than that this looks very interesting. One more thing on the Random Site feature. I clicked it and the random site it picked was no longer there so I almost thought the feature didn't work, but I tried again and got the next random site. I would suggest figuring out a script or modification to check if the site still exist to help maintain an up to date list.

Who cares about validation unless you're web designing professionally for someone?

Well in this case there really is no problem and it doesn't matter really just thought I would point that out since its an easy fix. Now what does matter is when you have 100's of errors which means a.) Your not using tags & attributes properly or b.) your going to get multiple page errors for crappy coding standards, or both. Usability and Readability are pretty important which validation gives you a way to check through syntax and stuff. And last time I checked proper coding and use of tags and attributes does play a role in SEO.
