Website Review and Suggestions

The site is dedicated to local events in YOUR area. Right now it is Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. I put it together because I hated NOT knowing what was going on in my area! Members can go to a Venue and click on their calendar and see what is going on at that bar/venue. At the top, right you can filter all results by state.

It is vBulletin so I'm looking at putting together a community as well.

Thoughts on it? Ways to improve it? I hope to have ALL 50 states soon!

Great layout. One minor issue: maybe it will look good if you style all buttons like "login or register". i haven't look over your every page but you have at least one with this problem: "search musicians".

At first glance, I'm not a huge fan of the color scheme. I look nice, don't get me wrong, but it's a bit dark for "picnic in the park with the kids"

It gives me the feel of dedicated only to concert and main stream events when what I think you're trying to target are the smaller local events. You didn't specify. If that is the case then I retract my comments and say go for it man! If not go for a lighter color scheme and use localized header images for your target market.
