Website Review and Suggestions

I have a new site called Ebay Guide and Tutorial and the address is http://ebayguides.info but one of my concern is the site don't have traffic better than my free domain blog. What's wrong with my site, can anyone review it. Thank you very much for your help.

Dude its really really slow to load for me.Try to use lower res images to make it download faster.The front page has so much content its daunting to n00bz,and some integral components like how to register are in the footer.

Try to streamline it as much as possible because its in a big clump at the moment.

Slow to load for me too. It doesn't look like a serious site - as someone who IS interested in Ebay, I don't feel tempted to stay and browse your site. The ads at the top look dodgy - dirtywarez downloads?? The featured articles whizz by much too fast for you to read more than the headline, which is quite annoying.

I would get rid of the ads and focus on content, put the ads back if you start to get traffic.

Your site is alright looking but i have seen other sites with lots more information, you need a lot more content if you want to compete with the other ebay tutorial websites.

Thanks for everyone who has reviewed my site, and for your info about the slow load of my site, I have checked it and it is because my hosting server is down lately, I got an email from the owner of the web hosting service and he said that the Singapore server is down for 5 days. Now I want to ask some suggestion which is better USA server or Singapore server??

I was going to comment on the speed of the website, but I see you have an answer for this. The site looks good and the concept and idea sound good to me. If you can speed things up it will help a lot. Good Luck.

Better for what?
Reliability, speed, cost, SEO?

I imagine most of those things depend on company not the country.

I just checked your site again and it downloaded much faster this time. If your hosting providers server went down for five days as you say, then that sounds a bit excessive for downtime. Just out of interest did you change your hosting provider or has the slow download issue been fixed ?

The web host administrator said that the problem has been solved, but I still worry about the down that's why I want to get more suggestion about the different of US and Singapore server.

I use a UK server, so far nobody has had any problems with the site loading. Like TWD said, it is probably more to do with your hosting provider than where they are based.If you know how to do it you can even setup your own server. I always thought of Singapore as being a Hi-Tech nation so there must be some good hosting companies there.

i personally like the site, design is great, good content, keep it up. getting good traffic takes a longgg time unless your fortunate to have a great great domain

I like it but perhaps would suggest making the drop down menus stand out more as they blend with the site, making it more difficult to use. Perhaps just go for a darker grey, although not necessarily as dark as the top grey strip. Other than that it's great!

Just a quick question: are you permitted to use the ebay logo as a favicon?

Cool site. What about making your font smaller so you can show two of your top articles on your home page without anyone having to scroll down?
