I have this new site that has not been promoted yet, but i htink it might be ready. I would appreciate any ideas that might attract customers once they are there.

u have made an excellent site. great design and combination of black and white suits the site.fonts are easy to read. in the portfolio when u point on the image the pop up text must be dark or bold. rest excellent job.

This site could not be checked with W3C Validator, only with direct input. 11 Errors are reported.

There is a lot of optimization to do, CSS should be combined/minified, JS should be combined/minified, ...

Design is ok, kwicks, s3 slider, scroll pane... a little bit too much IMO.

The style is easy, header, content, footer...

Firebug reports a JS error:

You definately need a better logo.
And dont forget the favicon (boy I get sick of saying that).
You should also have some Social Media buttons.

But otherwise the site looks great.
Nice javascript effects.

Nice! I like the mouse over effect on the images.

Any specific reasons why you have a "|" after Brooklyn Ancestry in the title? May be get that removed and put the website title there.

You have created a very informative and excellant site. My only objection is your header image of the skyline. On my laptop screen I could hardly see it a little to dark

Yes you have a beautiful site. You can also add a Skype contact in the contact page to let your clients contact you by phone. A physic Society has a phone contact and they can trust on you.

Well, you need need to do some proof-reading. In the first 2 paragraphs on the home page alone there are numerous spelling and grammar errors. If there's one thing that will make an otherwise good site look bad, it's spelling and grammar errors all over the place. Get someone else to proofread your site, another set of eyes always helps.

Other than that, the site looks great. Since I have worked on my family geneaology for many years, and have ancestors who settled in Brooklyn, I have bookmarked the site, I may use the service at some point

Totally agree with that.

These days with automated spelling and grammar checkers there
really is no excuse for 90% of the errors I commonly see.
It's just laziness.

And what it communicates is a lack of attention to detail which
is a real client/sales killer.

I have a business competitor with (quite frankly) a better looking website than mine but I know he is losing sales because his site has 10th grade spelling mistakes
