Website Review and Suggestions

Hey everybody.

I am working on a small forum (still not done) but I want to know if the colors are ok.

It is a myBB with the Apart 1 template.
I will add some jQuery fun in the next days.

I will tweak some functions/css on that forum when I have some spare time.
I wrote 2 tutorials how to add some jQuery animations to the myBB header and how to modify the myBB info bar plugin to make it "cool", at the bottom and closeable

Make the footer opacity 100%
Its kind of annoying see the background text visible.

You need a better header - and kill the animation.
One animated banner is OK. Two just looks like a circus.

I'm always surprised that people take the time to build forums
and then just expect that people will come flooding in the doors.
It doesnt work that way. You should at least "seed" the forum with
a few topics of your own. Maybe write an article or two.
Heck, even shell out a few bucks and get a professional content
writer to write one for you. There are plenty out there looking for work.

First, thanks for your review.

Second, I do not expect people come flooding in the doors.

I'm in web business since 1999, so you do not have to tell me how it works.
I like to have fun with jQuery and maybe the header is not your choice.
Maybe your are right about the header. Who knows?

When I have spare time I will ofcourse write some articles.
And I do not need content writers, only time to write.

Well, as written in the post the content slider is from CoDrops, some minor changes from me and the "site" layout is by me, too.

It's not that hard to make a "site" like that
